Music Box

Drawing Bot

This was a collaborative piece I did with a friend. When the button is pressed on the box, the user is able to speak into the microphone. When the user speaks into the microphone, it takes in the sound levels of the user speaking and the servos are moved based on the sound levels. The servos control an arm with a marker attached to the end. The software component was done by my friend and the hardware was done by me.

For this project, we had to re-purpose a box and turn it into a music box. The blue button plays the song "Welcome the Black Parade" by My Chemical Romance and the red button plays "Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger" by Daft Punk. The LED Matrix and LED lights on the eyes of the figure light up to match with the song's beat.
